The Sonesta Amirat Dahabiya offers a comfortable, characterful way to sail the Nile between Aswan and Luxor. This traditional sailing boat carries a small group of guests, so your dahabiya Nile cruise stays relaxed and personal from start to finish. Over four unhurried days you visit the temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu, glide through the Esna Lock, and moor at quiet spots along the river for swimming and sunset views. On board the Sonesta Amirat you enjoy cosy cabins, an open deck for tea and reading, and fresh Egyptian meals served by a friendly crew. The dahabiya experience was calm, elegant and special. The visits to Edfu and Kom Ombo, the quieter Nile temples and Silsila and the riverbank villages were real highlights. Highly recommend a dahabiya.

A peaceful, private sail away from the big cruise ships. Delicious food and beautiful sunsets from the deck. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
